Prices

We have simplified your task of calculating costs by providing a single daily price of  $25 per person, which includes accommodation, 3 good meals (plus free tea and coffee), and the eco-tourist adventure itself (which typically includes the cost of guides, horses, porters, optional interpreter, entrance fee to nature reserves, and all camping equipment (where appropriate). We offer considerable discounts for groups (3 or more adults).  We know that by splitting up our guests` costs into accommodation, meals and activities we could make our ecotourist experiences seem superficially more attractive to budget minded travelers, but we think that most of our readers will do the maths, and realize that we have made a big effort to keep prices down. We are also happy to accommodate visitors who prefer to create their own activities while at San Antonio. These visitors can calculate costs with fairly good accuracy on the following basis: accommodation: $5 per night.  Meals: $1.50 to $2 for a good meal, usually 2 course, and prepared mainly or completely with organic ingredients.  Activities involving a guide and horse: about $10 per day.  Activities involving guide, interpreter, porters, horses, camping equipment etc: about $15 per day. Entrance fee to Nature Reserve: $5.  Finally, remember that we are a community-run organization; your money is paid direct to local people, and our long-term intention is to slow down deforestation by providing an alternative, sustainable source of income for locals.
