There is a range of accommodation at San Antonio.

Whatever  your choice, we make it our top priority that you should feel comfortable and well-attended throughout your stay.

1.- Wooden “log-cabin style” guest houses.

There are two of these, built in 2007, which sleep 7 people: 1 single, 1 double, and 1 dormitory for four people. Mattresses  are  firm and comfy, rooms clean and pleasant, and the surroundings are beautiful and tranquil: ideal for rest and relaxation after the day´s activities.
Prices: $8 single -  $7 double -  $6 triple/quad    10%discount for stays of 3 nights or more.

2.- The adobe (mud) house

Until recently, nearly all houses in Intag were made of adobe (basically mud), a warm, cheap and environmentally friendly material.
Our mud house was built in 2009, with the aim of providing an exceptionally peaceful sleeping place for tired travelers, and a space for those who simply wish to be alone and undisturbed for a while.
The mud house is situated 400 meters from the main guest houses. It is partly enclosed by woods, but retains fine views of Cotacachi and Pichincha volcanoes.
It consists of a single room, warm, quiet and dark. There is no electricity, only candlelight.
The room contains nothing but a bed, rustic chairs, and traditional straw sleeping mats. Sleeps one or two people.

3.- Home stay

For travelers wishing to break away from the routine of hostels and hotels, we thoroughly recommend a stay with one of our farming families.
There are currently five families which satisfy our minimum requirements: a clean, private room, clean bathroom facilities, and simple, well-cooked food. The rewards for daring to get to know an Ecuadorean family can be considerable: As Jaume, a 2009 visitors from Spain put it “They treated me like their own son”.
Cost: $5 per night, reducing to $4 for stays greater than 2 nights.

4.- Camping

There are many beautiful camp sites on the farm, a good choice for budget-minded visitors at $1 per night.

Food and Drink

We offer delicious organic meals, using fresh, home grown produce. Typical ingredients are: trout (not organic), free range chicken and eggs, local grass-fed beef and cheese, maize, and a full range of organic vegetables and herbs. We are happy to cater for vegetarians.

Meals usually cost $1,50 per person.

For self-caterers there is  a small shop two km from the guesthouses.

Beer is available at $1 per bottle (Pilsener).
