Quickie tours

“Quickie” one and two day pakeage tours of San Antonio for travelers on a tight Schedule!
One day packeage tour (of San Antonio) .

Timetable:

08h00 Breakefast, usually served on the guest-house veranda.
08h45 Pleasant 15-20 minute walk to a nearby dairy farm, followed by demonstration and practice in how to milk a cow and make cheese.
10h00 Horseback ride of 45 minutes to a local organic vegetable farm.
11h00 Demonstrations and practice in the cultivation of a variety of subtropical and temperate vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, sugar cane, tree tomatoes and maize.
12h30 Lunch, served at the ‘organic’ farmhouse and followed by a demonstration of how to prepare traditional snacks such as maize tortillas and tostadas.

14h00 Return on horseback to the guesthouse, pausing en route for a tour of the community trout farm.
15h30 Tea or coffee served at the guest house, followed by a guide tour of the adjoining cloud forest. (Trails of one or two hours duration are offered, depending on your preference)
17h00 Supper, usually prepared and server at the guesthouse by the women of the community. Many of the ingredients are grown in the adjacent garden, using organic practice.
Live traditional music can be provided ar your request (one day´s notice required)

Costs:

Our price includes 3 meals, provision of horses and equipment, and all guides.
Prices per person:

  • Solo visitor $ 16
  • Pairs  $14
  • Groups(3 or more) $12
  • Children under 16: half price
  • Children under 5: free


Note: We are glad to change the packeage timetables at the request of our visitors, or to add/omit activities to suit your preferences.
Example: you many prefer to travel between farms on foot instead of on horseback.
